Most of the works in this section were produced while I was attending Cristina Coroleu’s Sumie-e workshop in 2007. (http://samohu.blogspot.com)
Since then I’ve started to include my own texts in calligraphy.

Shadow of a cherry tree
Original text in Spanish by Marina Soria. Translated text:
“Her mind was empty, her senses attentive, her breath rythmic.
She lay on her back over the green carpet. Light slightly filtered through the cherry tree leaves.
Like in an impressionist painting, the sky and the green interlaced.
Her silk kimono caressed her legs and the drawings, those which she had carefully embroided, started rising from the fabric to float
in a secret dance over her motionless body.
A sound of water running could be heard from afar like a monotonous music, and the smell from the grass, together with the sweet tatami cherry, drove her to another world.
At this time, or centuries before, two women interweave the same dreams underneath the shadow of the same cherry tree.”
